Brief Outline of the CSR Policy
RMC GEMS’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs are implemented in accordance with its CSR Policy, duly approved by the Board of Directors on June 14, 2017.
This policy framework defines the mechanisms and principles for undertaking CSR initiatives as per Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, read with Schedule VII and the Companies (Corporate Social Responsibility Policy) Rules, 2014.
The Company is deeply committed to contributing to the social, economic, and environmental development of the communities in which it operates. Through sustainable and participatory measures, RMC GEMS strives to create lasting value and support national growth.
Focus Areas of CSR Initiatives
1. Health Care & Nutrition
Promoting preventive healthcare and sanitation, eradicating hunger, poverty, and malnutrition, ensuring access to safe drinking water, organizing medical camps, and providing medicines and healthcare support.
2. Education & Skill Development
Enhancing education and vocational skills for children, women, the elderly, and the differently abled. Supporting educational infrastructure, scholarships, digital literacy, and sports development initiatives in both rural and urban settings.
3. Rural Development
Strengthening rural communities through water conservation, rainwater harvesting, sanitation, housing, lighting, education, healthcare, and livelihood improvement to foster sustainable village ecosystems.
4. Gender Equality & Women Empowerment
Promoting gender equality, supporting women’s education and employment, establishing hostels and care centers for women, orphans, and senior citizens, and reducing social and economic inequalities.
5. Environmental Sustainability
Ensuring ecological balance and natural resource conservation through tree plantation, renewable energy promotion, animal welfare, agroforestry, and protection of flora and fauna.
6. National Heritage, Art & Culture
Preserving India’s cultural and artistic legacy by supporting restoration of heritage sites, promoting traditional arts and crafts, and encouraging music, literature, and sports.
7. Disaster Relief & Rehabilitation
Providing relief and assistance during natural calamities and supporting rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts for affected communities.
8. Contribution to National and Social Funds
Supporting various funds, institutions, universities, and projects as specified under Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013.
9. Other Community Initiatives
Undertaking need-based projects and social welfare programs aligned with the CSR provisions and national priorities, as amended from time to time.
